Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

We are working with a respected, well‑run multi‑property wine company to find a qualified FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS MANAGER to complement their team. This role reports to the VP of Finance and will be responsible for assisting with all company financial planning, reporting and analysis. This includes (but is not limited to) modeling and analytics around the company’s annual financial plan (budget), quarterly forecasts and long‑range plan, monthly management reporting, variance analysis and various ad hoc special projects. This role provides financial consulting and strategic assistance to senior management, providing business insights and supporting optimal business decision making. Major Responsibilities Lead corporate financial planning processes including annual budget, mid-year forecasts, and rolling or ad hoc forecasts. Roll up, delivery and analytical summary of the monthly financial reporting package and BOD reporting, annual financial plan, quarterly forecasts, long range plan and other planning projects as requested. Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators and analyze causes of unexpected variances for all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures. Maintain long‑term CAPEX model, in partnership with Sr. Accountant. Prepare budget vs. actual variance analysis. Deliver weekly, quarterly and monthly financial reports as requested. Implement and develop a business intelligence tool with dashboard reports in partnership with Director of Data Engineering. Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in sales and marketing programs, pricing, new product margins as well as capital project proposals. Assist with preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA/CPA highly preferred. 5+ years’ experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, especially in 3-tier wine & spirits but open to consider experience in multi‑unit retail or consumer packaged goods. Strong leadership skills required. Proven ability to influence without authority. Best in class analytical capabilities. Experience working with an enterprise ERP system, such as Microsoft Navision. Experience with business intelligence or reporting tools like Power BI is a plus. Natural high level of curiosity with an approach towards understanding, reviewing options and proposing recommendations (i.e. thinking it through).
