Bilingual HR Operations Specialist

Role OverviewBased in Commerce, CA, you’ll be the connective tissue of HR operations—keeping payroll accurate, records compliant, and employees supported in both Spanish and English. This opportunity begins as a 90-day project with strong potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM (1st Shift) | Pay: $30.00–$34.00 per hourA day in the lifeAt 7:00 AM, you open your dashboard and scan the attendance point system, flagging trends and preparing any needed disciplinary notices for supervisor review. Before lunch, you’ve issued a couple of new security badges, answered a handful of employee questions at the HR window, and wrapped a new-hire orientation alongside the HR Generalist. The afternoon shifts to precision work—auditing employee files for federal and state compliance, completing I-9s, updating ADP for weekly and bi-weekly payroll, and assembling reports for leadership. You close the day by prepping new hire files, coordinating interviews for tomorrow, and calendaring next week’s benefits fair.What you’ll handleTrack and monitor the attendance point system; spot issues earlyPrepare and issue security badges for restricted-access areasDraft and route attendance-related disciplinary documents to supervisorsCreate and distribute a variety of management and HR reportsProvide front-line HR customer service; respond to employee inquiriesDeliver new hire orientation with the HR GeneralistComplete and maintain Form I-9 documentationMaintain precise employee records; file documentation appropriatelyAssist with HR correspondence and termination documentationRun full-cycle recruitment: requisitions, postings, screening, interviews, and offersAudit employee records to ensure compliance with federal and state lawsAssist with workplace investigationsPrepare new hire files and onboarding packetsSupport weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing in ADPPartner with the HR Director and team on special projectsProcess wage verifications and unemployment claimsHelp prepare and distribute W-2s and payroll-related reportsFacilitate site-wide events (benefits fairs, team events, volunteer activities)Provide general administrative support to the HR departmentPerform other duties as assignedSkills that set you up for successExcellent written and verbal communication—fluent in Spanish and EnglishStrong time management and organization; able to juggle multiple prioritiesComfort interacting with employees and leaders at all levelsHigh attention to detail; thrives in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, collaborative, and dependableProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteEducation & experienceAssociate’s degree required; Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field preferred1–3 years of administrative experience, ideally in HR or a manufacturing/industrial settingExperience with ADP payroll systems preferredFamiliarity with ITAR compliance, security badging, or union environments is a plusGrowth pathThis role starts as a 90-day initial project with strong potential to transition to a full-time, permanent position based on performance and business needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
