Become a part of our team!Responsible to assist the structural/mechanical engineering team in CAD modelling and drafting for bulk material handling systems using established drafting protocol.Demonstrates technical expertise in disciplinary fieldProduce complex drawings that meet client specifications, in 2D and 3D formatsPrepare and interpret scale drawings, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aidGather information and produce drawings for specific projects, review drawings for accuracy, revise and update drawings for approval by customers, and prepare drawings for release to fabricationInterpret and analyze technical reports and specificationsUnderstand "Good Engineering Practices" for industry standards and routinely provides suggestions and feedback on drawings to aid in drafting development, problem solving, and solutions for the client incorporate best business practices or that are innovativeSupport design efforts with detailed dimensional calculations to verify configurations and layoutsMeet project deadlines and quality goalsInteract with clients and vendors to accomplish project goalsCommunicate with Supervisors, Managers and Engineers on project operationsMentors other Technicians and Junior Mechanical DesignersEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university preferred but not required; six or more years related experience in the bulk material handling industrySix or more years of CAD experienceFive to Six years of experience within the bulk material handling industryBilingual in, Spanish, German, considered an assetComputer Skills/Experience:Drawing Software: 2D & 3D using AutoCad, Advance Steel (preferred but not required), SolidWorks, and/or Inventor desiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Provides mentorship and feedback to other CAD Technicians, Interns, and Junior DesignersSalary from $102,000 USDSalary commensurate with experience.
