Provide guidance and support to campus administrators regarding TIA implementation, educator support systems, and retention initiatives. Continuous Improvement and Strategic Planning: Conduct data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for program enhancement.
Support the work of district committees and stakeholder groups related to performance designations and teacher retention.
Assist with development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic plans related to educator effectiveness, recognition, and retention.
Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for district leadership and the Board of Trustees.

Assist with the development of training materials, guidance documents, and implementation resources for district and campus stakeholders. Preferred: Valid Texas Mid-Management or Standard Principal Certification
Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD)
Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a campus administrator or content specialist
Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience
Experience leading large-scale projects with multiple stakeholder groups
Experience working with diverse teams navigating ambiguity and complexity
Experience with technical grant writing and data analysis
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Strong knowledge of research-based instructional practices and educator effectiveness systems

This role assists in the management of systems designed to attract, recognize, support, and retain highly effective educators, particularly in hard-to-staff schools and critical shortage areas. The Assistant Director serves as a key operational and strategic support partner to the Director – Performance Designations and Teacher Retention and is responsible for assisting with TEA data submissions, roster verification processes, designation payment calculations, program compliance monitoring, and retention-related initiatives. This position collaborates extensively with district leadership, campus administrators, Payroll, Finance, Research & Accountability, Human Resource Services, and external partners to support educator effectiveness and workforce stability initiatives aligned to district strategic priorities and state accountability requirements.
