Location: Newark, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive experience in cardiac procedures, including coronary bypass graft surgery (CABG), heart valve surgeries (MVR, AVR), and general and vascular cases. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing the operating room environment and is skilled in circulating on heart cases.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate during cardiac open heart surgeries, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning.
• Assist in the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient's vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including a minimum of one weekend per month and available for night shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Two years of experience in an operating room environment, specifically in cardiac surgery.
• Proficiency with Epic software.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccine and other immunizations as required for onboarding.
