Pricing Analyst

Summary The Pricing Analyst collaborates with and supports the firm’s strategic initiatives by analyzing historical data and performance. They advise on profitable arrangements and rate structures, working closely with Pricing Leadership, Senior Analysts, Business Development, Marketing, Legal Project Management, Billing Operations, and Staff Leadership to resolve complex data and reports, develop pricing stories, and propose forward options. Location This position can be based in Phoenix, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Northern Virginia, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh, San Diego, Seattle, Short Hills, Washington D.C., or Wilmington offices and offers a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities Develop rate proposals, fee estimates, and pricing options for client RFPs and ad‑hoc requests in collaboration with Business Development, Pricing, and Service Delivery leadership. Identify rate renewal opportunities, develop proposals, secure Practice Group approval, and submit per relevant deadlines. Contribute to financial models with Pricing Leadership and Senior Pricing Analysts to assess profitability of pricing proposals. Design creative pricing solutions, including alternative fee arrangements, in response to client demands. Perform historical analytics of matters to identify risks and drivers of fee magnitude for robust pricing models. Coordinate with Billing/Rates, New Business Intake, and other staff to ensure billing system setup and documentation capture intended pricing arrangements and rates. Communicate progress, wins, and risks to Pricing/Firm Leadership in a timely manner. Work on special projects supporting the firm’s strategic initiatives and perform other duties and ad‑hoc analyses as assigned. Self‑starter proficient in summarizing and charting large data sets. Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables. Prior experience in a law firm or other professional services firm is desirable. Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field. Minimum Years of Experience Three years of directly related experience, preferably in financial analysis, billing, accounting, or similar work. Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively. Provide timely, accurate, and high‑quality work product; meet deadlines and expectations. Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as extended computer use, digital/virtual conference calls, and occasional meetings. Work under pressure with competing demands in a fast‑paced environment. Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned. Physical Demands Sedentary work: occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.; primarily sitting with occasional standing or walking. Work Environment The selected candidate may have an opportunity for a hybrid arrangement (remote and in‑office) based on coordination with the hiring manager.
