Optician/Optical Administrator

Optical Associate, Optician Responsibilities Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit and adapt lenses and frames, including evaluating prescriptions with customer visual requirements. Recommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames that suit customer needs and assist in frame selection. Coordinate frames with optical measurements and prescription data. Conduct measurements of bridge, eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers using appropriate tools. Ensure high quality through accurate measurements, correct pricing, and realistic delivery-time quotes. Maximize Managed Vision Care relationships and sales opportunities by effective plan administration and local service improvements. Assist with the timely implementation of approved marketing programs and initiatives. Maintain positive and productive host relationships through participation, support, and satisfaction measured by patient satisfaction surveys. Perform other duties as assigned by the Optical Manager. Qualifications State licensure or certification by a nationally recognized optician association (if required). Strong sales skills with accountability for sales results. Experience in a retail or customer-service environment. Excellent communication skills to meet or exceed customer expectations and foster positive relationships with associates, doctors, and hosts. Success in store merchandising and attention to detail. Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience. Compensation Salary Range: $20.00 – $30.23 per hour. Eligible bonuses and commissions may be included. Compensation may vary by market and is based on experience and job-related factors.
