Join our organization to establish a robust outpatient practice while mentoring future healthcare professionals and providing care for children with chronic and complex medical conditions. We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Academic Pediatrician to become part of our dedicated team at the new Children's Pavilion located in Norfolk, Virginia, with an appointment at Old Dominion University. Opportunity Highlights

• Enjoy a blend of outpatient stability, academic instruction, and support from our organization, all while adhering to a well-defined pediatric mission.
• Work four clinical days per week without inpatient responsibilities, utilizing nurse-triage for calls and having access to embedded resources.
• Engage in teaching residents and medical students while managing the care of medically complex pediatric patients.
• Practice in the newly established Children's Pavilion near Virginia Beach, benefiting from affordable living and a faculty position at Old Dominion University.
• Become part of a collaborative team of physicians and support staff, including social work, nutrition, and mental health professionals.
• Follow a four-day clinical schedule complemented by one remote administrative day.
• Care for approximately 20-24 patients daily, focusing on chronic and medically complex cases.
• Join a well-established outpatient group consisting of nine pediatricians and a total of 24 staff members.
• Receive assistance from one licensed practical nurse (LPN) and one medical assistant (MA) for each physician.
• Access two full-time social workers, nutrition support two days a week, and integrated mental health services.
• Participate in on-call duties approximately 6-7 weeks per year, with nursing triage handling initial calls.
• Teach students from Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and residents in pediatric and family medicine.
• Conduct learner evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and attend educational conferences as possible.
