Box Office Manager
Arts Hacker
Capital Region Classical (CRC) is seeking a candidate who is passionate about classical music and interested in making a meaningful contribution to the art form within a modest, yet prestigious arts organization. The Box Office Manager will work directly with the Artistic Director and Marketing Director to promote and strengthen a series of 20 annual concerts in the Capital Region. The candidate must thrive in a multi‑tasking environment. Responsibilities Manage ticketing operations: answer phone/email inquiries, process ticket orders, and maintain customer database. Sell onsite tickets at all concerts, which take place on weekends and some evenings. Assist with distribution of concert flyers and other printed materials. Scan invoices and contributions, assist with mailings, and perform miscellaneous office tasks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (classical music background preferred) with office experience. Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and conscientious. Excellent verbal and customer service skills. Self‑motivated with the ability to work efficiently with minimal management. Mastery of Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new programs. Compensation This is a part‑time position at a competitive rate. The role requires working from CRC’s downtown Schenectady office.
