Since 1985, we've partnered with individuals with disabilities and their families to create pathways to greater independence, inclusion, and community engagement. Today, our team of nearly 300 dedicated employees delivers a wide range of services throughout Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts, including employment services, supported living, community-based supports, transportation, life skills programs, and day services. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a strategic, people-centered Chief People Officer to join our Executive Team. This is more than an HR leadership role. It's an opportunity to help build the culture, leadership practices, and workforce strategies that support an organization whose mission impacts lives every day. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Chief People Officer serves as the organization's senior HR leader and a trusted advisor to the Executive Team. You'll lead all aspects of Human Resources while helping Community Connections strengthen employee engagement, attract and retain exceptional talent, develop leaders, and create an employee experience that reflects the organization's values and mission. You'll oversee a talented HR team and play a key role in shaping organizational strategy, culture, and long-term workforce planning. Success in this role requires both strategic vision and hands-on leadership. You'll spend time in executive planning discussions, while also partnering closely with managers and employees across the organization to solve challenges, build capability, and support a positive workplace culture. What You'll Lead
- Employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives
- Recruitment and workforce planning strategies
- Leadership development and management coaching
- Compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs
- Performance management and employee relations
- HR technology and process improvement
- Regulatory compliance and risk management
- Organizational development and strategic workforce planning
- Have 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior-level leadership responsibilities
- Have successfully led HR strategy, organizational change, and employee relations in a complex organization
- Are equally comfortable discussing workforce metrics with executives and coaching managers through difficult conversations
- Bring a thoughtful, practical approach to leadership and problem solving
- Believe that culture is created through everyday actions, not simply words
- Want your work to have a meaningful impact on employees, participants, and the broader community
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree and SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.
