Sr. Assistant Logistics

Abbott seeks a Senior Assistant Logistics professional for its Barceloneta facility to manage import and export logistics operations, documentation, and regulatory compliance for the Vascular Division. The role involves coordinating shipments, preparing trade documentation, and ensuring adherence to customs and trade regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate export logistics including transportation bookings, tracking, and carrier communication
- Prepare and distribute export documentation such as packing lists, invoices, and certificates of origin
- Ensure compliance with corporate customs policies, FTZ regulations, and applicable government agencies
- Support import activities including customs clearance and FDA compliance for inbound shipments
- Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, freight claims, and customs issues with carriers and brokers
Requirements
- Associate degree or minimum 72 completed college credits from accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, or logistics experience
- Knowledge of customs and trade compliance procedures and documentation
- Familiarity with FDA, CBP, DOT, and other regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in import/export documentation preparation and record maintenance
Compensation: $13.82–$27.64 per hour
