Peoplesoft Developer — Project Costing & Billing Integration

Kapital Data Corp is seeking experienced PeopleSoft developers for a contract engagement supporting a large-scale financial systems customization project. The work involves building a bolt-on integration that automates invoice generation directly from Project Costing, replacing standard Contracts module functionality. This is a compliance-sensitive engagement: candidates must be US Citizens residing on US soil.

Scope of work:

• Billing plan component: Custom PeopleSoft component replicating key Contracts Bill Plan functionality — search page, general page, events page, amendment workflow, and copy contract capability.
• PC to Billing batch: Custom Application Engine cloning CA_BI_INTFC to extract BIL transactions from PROJ_RESOURCE and stage rows in Billing Interface tables for downstream invoice creation.
• Billing to PC batch
• Custom clone of PC_BI_TO_PC to synchronize billing results back to Project Costing transaction and summary tables.
• Custom pricing process: Application Engine converting eligible PSCOST Analysis Group rows to BIL/OLT billing rows, with configurable Project Type setup by Business Unit.
• PC to General Ledger batch: Custom revenue recognition Application Engine selecting undistributed BIL rows, applying accounting rules, and generating journal entries into CA_ACCTG_LN_PC for Journal Generator.
• Run control & admin pages: Batch execution run control pages, Project Type configuration maintenance pages, and amendment audit trail pages.

Required qualifications:

• US Citizenship required — must reside on US soil (federal contract compliance)
• 5+ years of PeopleSoft development experience in a financials environment
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Project Costing and/or Billing modules
• Strong Application Engine development skills (custom cloning, step/section logic, state records)
• Proficiency in PeopleCode, Component Interface, and App Designer
• Solid SQL skills; all SQL must be written as Meta SQL (Oracle and SQL Server compatible)
• Experience with PROJ_RESOURCE table structure, analysis types, and BI_DISTRIB_STATUS processing
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Billing Interface tables (INTFC_BI, INTFC_BI_AEDS, INTFC_BI_NOTE)

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with the PeopleSoft Contracts module (Bill Plans, CA_BI_INTFC process)
• Prior work in a federal government or regulated-industry environment
• Experience with PC to GL accounting flows, CA_ACCTGGL_LN_PC, and Journal Generator integration
• Familiarity with PSA_ACCTGGL and PC_BI_TO_PC delivered processes
• Experience building custom bolt-on components that replicate delivered module functionality
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft amendment and audit trail design patterns

This is a contract role supporting a complex, multi-entity financials environment where project-based billing, intercompany billing, and revenue recognition must all be tightly integrated. The custom solution replaces a core module integration layer and must meet rigorous audit and compliance standards.
