Location Our campus is located at 1601 Maple Street, Carrollton, GA 30118. Faculty and staff members are expected to be physically present on campus as needed to support the in-person educational experience and on-campus vitality at the University of West Georgia. Depending upon teaching assignments and student demand, this could include the Carrollton or Newnan campuses. Job Summary UWG is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing person to serve as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff who interact with Health Services via office visit, telephone call, or email. Primary responsibilities include maintaining patient records and collecting intake documents, scheduling appointments, checking-in patients upon arrival, and opening/closing the center. Responsibilities Opens and closes the center each day. Serves as needed in both the check-in and check-out positions. Completes the Patient Registration process upon arrival, including greeting the patient, securing and entering the required demographic information, and obtaining the appropriate FERPA/HIPAA authorizations. Also initiates invitations to any pre appointment paperwork, answers a multi-line telephone system, and assists callers by scheduling appointments. This position responds to immunization inquiries, assists with medical records inquiries, retrieves voicemail messages, and acts as needed. Completes daily functions including generating reports, compiling daily statistics, and patient counts. Processes incoming mail, medical records releases, HCFA form requests, etc. Posts charges and collects associated payments, reconciling daily transactions and preparing transactions for Banner Upload. Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Required Education High School / GED Required Experience 6-12 months of previous office experience Basic computer skills including Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience 2 years of office experience Previous experience working with Banner, PyraMed, and Georgia Registry of Immunizations. Proposed Salary $15.74 - $17.72 hourly. Paid on a bi-weekly basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain a positive, inviting presence when interacting with patients and parents Must be able to work under direct supervision Must have the ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance Should also have excellent problem-solving skills. Lifting up to 15lbs Office Environment - Work normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
