Our unique scale allows us to make entire industries less wasteful and more sustainable, helping move the world toward a more circular economy.Darling Ingredients offers full time employees a full suite of benefits including but not limited to the following: 401(k), Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, and Paid Time Off.Position SummaryThe Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily accounting associated with Plant Accounting including supervision of staff.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the daily operations relating to Plant Accounting.Review and approve team's journal entries, cash wires and RM processing.Monthly close responsibilities including Plant PLs, COGS and expense accruals in Oracle.Assist in requests from both internal and external auditors.Review reconciliations to ensure that they are prepared properly, follow-up on any unusual items.Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes & procedures, working closely with IT.Manage scheduled processes in Oracle.All other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting field; additional supervisory experience preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.Strong organizational skills along with problem solving and analytical skills.Strong computer skills necessary.Able to meet deadlines with attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Working Conditions and Physical DemandsN/A - Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments such as high noise level, strong odors, and/or exposure to heat and coldN/A - Exposed to bio hazardous conditionsN/A - Exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerationsN/A - Exposed to Electrical hazards; risk of electrical shockN/A - Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipmentN/A - Travels to offsite locationsPhysical DemandsConstantly - Must be able to remain in a stationary position (Sit)Constantly - Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location (Walk)Constantly - Operates a computer and other office machinery (Use hands to finger, handle or feel)Constantly - Must be able to position one's self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in the server closet (Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl)Constantly - Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder (Climb or balance)Constantly - Must be able to use senses to; effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions (Talk, hear, taste, smell)Weight and Force DemandsFrequently - Up to 10 poundsX - Up to 25 poundsX - Up to 50 poundsX - Up to 100 poundsX - More than 100 poundsThe information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
