Travel Nurse RN - Long Term Care (LTC) Geriatrics - $1,000 per week

Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Geriatrics for a travel nursing job in Sykesville, Maryland.

Job Description & Requirements

• Hours worked over 40 will be paid out at a time & a half ($25 x 1.5 = $37.50)
• OT may be available but is not guaranteed

The Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) performs direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Geriatric Nursing Assistant performs a variety of individualized patient care activities including bathing, dressing, feeding and transporting as well as related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of the geriatric patient population.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active CNA with Geriatric Certification, required
• Experience with memory care patients, preferred
• Prefer one year of geriatric nursing assistant experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years.
• Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and having the ability to be work with geriatrics per state requirements. • Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions.
• Current CPR
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
