PND Engineers is looking for a motivated Accounts Payable (AP) /Payroll (PR) Accounting Technician who enjoys coming to work each day knowing their contributions directly support more than 130 employees and managers across all of our offices.

What You’ll Do

Lend support to the accounting department and its specific areas of Accounts Payable and Payroll. Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and friendly service to both vendors and employees. Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Processing (AP): Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the financial system.
• Payment Execution: Schedule and prepare check runs, ACH batches, or wire transfers to pay vendors on time
• Payroll Processing (PR): Gather, review, and report on timekeeping data, employee hours, and adjustments for payroll processing. Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate salary or wage disbursements. Perform bi-weekly payroll processing and quarterly tax compliance including state reports for unemployment and worker’s compensation
• Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, ledger entries, and monthly purchasing card or credit card statements. Resolve payment or invoice discrepancies.
• Record Keeping & Compliance: Maintain organized physical and digital accounting files. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, tax regulations (such as W-9 and 1099 tracking), and record retention rules.
• Customer & Vendor Support: Answer internal and external inquiries regarding invoice statuses, payment tracking, or account details.

What We’re Looking For

• An associate’s degree in accounting. Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 1-3 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, payroll, or general bookkeeping. or in combination with education. Education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Hands-on experience with project accounting software; familiarity with Deltek Ajera is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Attention to detail, dependability, and strong organization skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills
• Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive records.
