Foothill Acres Rehab and Nursing is looking for a Full-time Cook to join their team. The cook has a major impact on the atmosphere in the kitchen. We are looking for a skilled individual who takes pride in and stands behind the product that leaves your kitchen. This position works 5 days a week with every other weekend off. Responsibilities include: Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations. Prepares nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as directed by Food Service Director and/or Supervisor. Properly cares for dietary equipment. Follows menus and special diet instructions. Takes food temperatures per policy and ensures food items are prepared, cooled and stored in adherence to corporate, local, state and federal guidelines. Other duties as assigned by the Director or Supervisor Ensures resident guest satisfaction. Responds quickly to resident or guest requests. Reports any resident comments or concerns to Dining Services Manager immediately. Adheres to all policies and procedures of Foothill Acres. Attends all in-services training and pre-shift meetings. Handles equipment safely and quietly to minimize breakage. Performs all duties in adherence to Foothill Acres standards. Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers Qualifications: ServSafe Certification Required, must have a passion for cooking. 1-3 years of cooking experience Experience in a healthcare setting and Kosher experience a huge plus Must be able to follow production sheets and standardized recipes Excellent salary and benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr Foothill Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center
