Senior Salesforce Engineer

Role Description

As a Senior Salesforce Engineer at Cabin, you will be a pivotal contributor to our client engagements, responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable code and configuration across the Salesforce platform. Working as part of our Platform Team, you will bridge technical execution and business needs, taking ownership of complex features, conducting rigorous code reviews, and shaping hands-on technical solutions. In this high-visibility role, you will collaborate closely with architects and product strategists, and advocate for modern engineering standards to bring enterprise solutions to life.

Responsibilities

• Custom Platform Development: Deliver high-quality, maintainable Apex code, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform event architecture to solve complex business requirements while adhering to Salesforce governor limits and best practices.
• Declarative & Programmatic Optimization: Thoughtfully build solutions by combining native declarative capabilities (Flow) with custom engineering to ensure long-term platform maintainability and performance.
• API & Integration Execution: Build and maintain secure integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware tooling.
• Technical Discussion & Design Contribution: Participate actively in technical design discussions, architectural reviews, and grooming sessions, bringing key insights and actionable feedback to team leads and architects.
• Code Review & Quality Standards: Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, write comprehensive unit tests, and uphold platform security models.
• DevOps & Release Management: Utilize modern release practices and tools—including Salesforce DX, Git, and automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Copado, Gearset)—to support seamless deployment cycles.
• Mentorship & Peer Enablement: Mentor Associate and Mid-Level Engineers through constructive feedback and coaching, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members, including product strategists, UX designers, and client stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout sprint execution.

Qualifications

• Salesforce Engineering Experience: 5+ years of hands-on software development experience on the Salesforce platform, with demonstrated expertise in Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, and asynchronous processing.
• Salesforce Certifications: Active certifications such as Data Architecture and Management Designer, or Application Architect are valued.
• System Integration Proficiency: Proven track record of integrating Salesforce with external APIs and enterprise applications using REST/SOAP, OAuth, and event-driven patterns.
• Modern Engineering Tools: Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git), Salesforce DX, and automated CI/CD release management platforms.
• Software Architecture & Patterns: Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, enterprise design patterns (e.g., Enterprise Architecture Patterns for Apex), and governor limit management.
• Consulting & Client Mindset: Experience in a consultancy or client-facing professional services setting, with a proven ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and ambiguous problem spaces.
• Communication & Teamwork: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical approaches to both engineering peers and project leads.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional technical experience.
