Supervisory Investigator – Division of Gaming Reports to the Agent in Charge of the Field Office. Responsible for the daily operations of field enforcement, compliance, and background investigations functions within Colorado casinos. Location & Residency Position is open only to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of application. Plan and execute complex criminal investigations into limited gaming violations, including interviewing witnesses, interrogating suspects, preparing affidavits, and testifying in court. Proactively patrol casino floors as an armed peace officer to preserve peace, deter cheating and theft, and respond to disputes and complaints. Lead comprehensive compliance inspections to ensure licensees, patrons, premises, records, and devices meet Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations and internal control minimum procedures. Issue criminal summonses, effect arrests, transport prisoners to jail, and execute warrants while collecting and preserving evidence. Assist local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies upon request, maintaining an off‑duty on‑call status for emergency responses. Prepare detailed written reports for criminal prosecution and initiate disciplinary action for presentation to the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission. Deliver training and professional presentations to the gaming industry, outside law enforcement agencies, and the public. Minimum Qualifications Ten (10) years of relevant investigative experience conducting both criminal and regulatory investigations, including at least one year in a work leader, staff authority, or unit supervisor role. Active Colorado Public Safety Officer’s Training (POST) certification in good standing at the time of application. Special Qualifications Successful completion of a background investigation, tax check, and psychological evaluation. Valid Colorado Driver's License at the time of application. Willingness to work nights, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and maintain on‑call status while off‑duty. Qualified and maintained firearm qualification. Certified in arrest control techniques. Current Colorado Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) certification. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Colorado rules and regulations related to the Division of Gaming. Experience leading or managing complex criminal and regulatory investigations. Ability to develop and implement investigative strategies, policies, and procedures. Experience supervising investigation teams and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Office tools, or Google Suite. Experience preparing investigative reports, affidavits, and legal documentation.
