Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting preschoolers as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Danbury, CT. This part-time role offers approximately 15 hours per week and the chance to make a meaningful impact as you guide young learners through vital stages in their speech and language development. With a manageable caseload of 12-15 students (and the potential to grow as new referrals are received), you'll play a crucial part in helping children find their voice in an inclusive, engaging environment.
Qualifications:
- Possess or be actively pursuing a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or be eligible as a Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFY)
- Demonstrated experience or passion for working with preschool-aged children
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong collaboration skills for teaming with educators and families
- Skilled in completing assessments, evaluations, and therapy documentation
- SLPA credentials are not considered for this opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to preschool students
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments as referrals arrive
- Attend and actively participate in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings
- Maintain organized and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Adapt intervention strategies to meet individual student needs
