Laser Operator Summary:
In this role, the Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC plate and tube laser machines to cut metal components according to specifications. The Laser Operator will create nesting programs, load raw materials, unload finished parts, and ensure quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Laser Operator Pay Rate: $22-$27/hr. DOE

Laser Operator Hours: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Laser Operator Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC plate laser and/or tube laser equipment.
• Create and modify nesting programs to maximize material utilization and production efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
• Load raw materials into laser machines and unload completed parts.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and operational.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and communicate maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Utilize measuring tools to verify part accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and finished products as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and standard operating practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Laser Operator Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC laser equipment required.
• Experience with CNC plate lasers required.
• Experience operating a tube laser is a plus.
• Ability to set up machines and create nesting programs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and quality inspection techniques.
• Must be able to communicate and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical job duties as required.
