CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistOxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a direct hire, onsite opportunity. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with strong setup and operation experience across horizontal and vertical machining centers, live tooling lathes, and CNC machine tools.The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, running, and making program edits at the machine while producing precision components to meet quality and production standards.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate horizontal and vertical machining centersSet up and run live tooling lathesWork with CNC machine tools including Okuma, Mori Seiki, Kitamura, and HaasEdit CNC programs directly at the machine as neededRead and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and machining specificationsUse G and M codes to support machine setup, operation, and program adjustmentsSelect and apply appropriate milling tooling for production requirementsPerform quality checks to ensure parts meet required tolerances and specificationsTroubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production qualityFollow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work areaQualificationsAt least 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist including experience setting up and running live tooling lathesExperience setting up and running horizontal and vertical machining centersExperience with Okuma, Mori Seiki, Kitamura, and Haas CNC machine tools preferredAbility to edit programs at the machineStrong understanding of G and M codes requiredStrong knowledge of milling tooling requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workAbility to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
