Medical Assistant (Bilingual)

Location: Miami-Dade County, FL Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Work Setting: On-site Reports To: Medical Director / Practice Manager Position Summary Curando Medical Center is seeking a professional, experienced, and bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to support clinical and administrative operations in a patient-centered medical practice. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures Obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient history Assist providers during exams and minor procedures Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms according to clinical standards Ensure proper handling and sterilization of medical instruments Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals Verify patient demographics and insurance information Accurately document patient information in the EHR/EMR system Answer incoming calls and assist patients professionally Communicate clearly with patients in English and Spanish Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict patient confidentiality Support a positive, efficient, and respectful clinical environment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) – required Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows Experience using EHR/EMR systems Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA – AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA – AMT) Experience in Primary Care or Specialty clinics Experience with injections, venipuncture, or EKGs (within scope of practice) Familiarity with insurance verification and basic medical billing Experience 2+ years (Required) Skills Medical Assisting, Patient Care, Bilingual Communication, EHR/EMR, Clinical Support, Customer Service, HIPAA Compliance Compliance Notice: This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
