About the Position

ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years. License: WI RN or Compact RN license required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC - AHA only required. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Description: Eve/Night shifts of 12 hours and 8 hours as needed. Weekend and holiday rotation is required. The candidate must have experience in managing high acuity patients. Patient demographics include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census varies with a high volume of emergency visits. The emergency department provides comprehensive care supported by a full team of subspecialists. Responsibilities include assessment, triage, and treatment of patients with various medical conditions. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Experience with procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubation is preferred. Traveler candidates must meet strict passing criteria during telemetry exams. Successful identification of lethal rhythms and understanding of heart block classifications is required. The emergency department operates within a designated Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities include managing patients with trauma and complex medical issues. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong clinical skills and decision-making capabilities.
