Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young students as a dedicated Paraprofessional supporting kindergarten through first grade classrooms. This contract position offers 35 hours per week, providing you with the opportunity to collaborate closely with a passionate special education teacher near Sheboygan, WI. Your support will be invaluable in empowering students with diverse learning needs to thrive academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

• Holds a valid Special Education Program Aide License or a Special Education License in another area.
• Previous experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and educators.
• Adaptability and calm under pressure, especially when providing behavioral or academic support.
• Demonstrated patience and compassion when working with young learners.
• Ability to assist with health care needs as directed by supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized or small-group support under the direction of a special education teacher.
• Assist with classroom management, instructional activities, and behavioral interventions.
• Support students’ educational progress through encouragement and direct engagement.
• Help with daily living and health care needs as required by individual students’ plans.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and will continue for the duration of the school year or as needed.
