What We’re Looking For We are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Payroll Specialist to process multi‑company payrolls. This includes importing data, validating data and processing payrolls based on required deadlines. This position will be partnered with another Payroll Specialist & other departments and will work within the HR team to create processes to ensure that the required data for payroll is accurate and received> What You’ll Do Process payroll across multiple entities Resolve payroll issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner Partner with Operations Support team regarding timekeeping, job costing and payroll exports Review export files from Operations Support from various timekeeping systems to ensure accuracy before uploading into Paylocity for processing Assist with garnishment tracking and validation within Paylocity Assist with tax setup/discrepancies at the employee & company level Assist with tracking referral and sign on bonus payments Validate new hires, terminations and employee changes within Paylocity to ensure accurate first pay, final pay and first pay with changes Identify terminations that fall within an immediate pay state & process accordingly to keep the company in compliance Partner with the HR team regarding employee setup and changes after validation to ensure corrections are made if necessary Prepare & maintain accurate records & reports of payroll transactions within each Payroll folder Reconcile payroll prior to submitting for review Create and run reports as needed Assist with internal & external Payroll audits Understand proper state and federal taxation laws Assist in processing accurate and timely year‑end W2 reporting Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Need 5-10 years of proven experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll processing & regulations Experience with processing payroll for multiple entities Strong experience running multi‑state payrolls Knowledge of timekeeping requirements generally and in various states. Strong knowledge of payroll tax requirements & ability to register with new states Strong numerical & analytical skills to ensure accurate payroll calculations & data management Ability to audit payroll files Ability to accurately enter data into databases and spreadsheets Outstanding communication & interpersonal abilities High Attention to Detail Process Improvement Mindset & ability to Embrace Change Strong ability to manage payroll discrepancies, while providing solutions to mgmt Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a high level of multi‑tasking Excellent organizational skills to manage very strict Payroll deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with at least an intermediate level of Excel Willingness to live by our Company Values Knowledge of Paylocity a plus Please contact Tyler Robinson at View phone number on click.appcast.io or View email address on click.appcast.io GridSource is a proud supporter of our U.S. military, veterans, and their families.
