Village Behavioral Health (VBH) Village Behavioral Health (VBH) is looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) in our residential programs. We are currently hiring to support our homes in: Locations North Chesterfield Richmond Highland Springs Henrico Schedule & Availability Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Full-time, part-time, and PRN (as-needed) positions available Full-time staff required to work every other weekend (12-hour shifts) Rotating weekend schedule Compensation Starting at $17/hour+, based on experience Performance bonuses available What You’ll Do Supporting daily living skills (hygiene, meals, housekeeping, medication routines) Teaching independence, communication, and life skills Assisting with community activities (shopping, events, appointments, recreation) Promoting a safe, structured, and supportive environment Monitoring health and behavioral changes and reporting concerns Completing accurate, timely documentation Make an Impact Through Building meaningful relationships Supporting choice, dignity, and independence Encouraging community inclusion and engagement Helping individuals reach personal goals What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Experience in ID/DD, behavioral health, or human services preferred Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to pass background checks and screenings Training & Requirements CPR/First Aid Medication Administration Crisis/Behavioral Intervention Training (Training can be provided/maintained per agency and DBHDS requirements) Why Join VBH Meaningful, hands-on work that truly matters Supportive, team-oriented environment Opportunities for growth and advancement Professional development and CEU support Full-time benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Time Off 401(k) Who Thrives Here People who are patient, dependable, and compassionate Team players who show up and follow through Individuals who want purpose - not just a paycheck The success of our agency depends on the strength of our team - join VBH and be part of something impactful.
