About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Advancement Officer to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive advancement and marketing strategy, with a focus on fundraising. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in nonprofit development and marketing, including a proven track record in senior leadership. The Chief Advancement Officer will have organization-wide responsibility for all fundraising channels, as well as for marketing, communications, and public relations. They will be expected to drive new growth by identifying, cultivating, and securing new investors, and to manage all fundraising activities, including events and donor stewardship. Candidates for this position should have a deep, established network within the philanthropic, corporate, and civic community, and be adept at translating relationships into philanthropic investment. The role also involves executive-level collaboration with a volunteer Board, so experience in this area is essential. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, results-driven individual with a strong executive presence, excellent management skills, and the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred, and a CFRE certification is strongly desired. The Chief Advancement Officer will be expected to be detail-oriented, have expertise in database management, and possess excellent writing skills for producing a range of professional documents.
