Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Hamilton, NJ. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with custom theme and plugin development, third-party integrations, and troubleshooting performance and security issues.


Rate Range: $55/Hour to $57/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Developer Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and reusable components to support business requirements.
• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems, payment gateways, and other external services into WordPress applications.
• Optimize website performance, database queries, security, and scalability to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting while adhering to WordPress coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality, accessible, and SEO-compliant web solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development using PHP and MySQL.
• Strong expertise in WordPress CMS architecture, custom development, REST APIs, Gutenberg blocks, ACF, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure, scalable, and high-performance WordPress applications, including third-party integrations and database optimization.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $57.00 per hour
