The Impact You Will Have The Sonar Solutions Engineering team is dedicated to helping prospective customers achieve technical success with our products. As a Federal Solutions Engineer at SonarSource, you’ll play a central role in providing deep technical expertise to prospects and supporting them in evaluating our solution throughout the sales process. What You Will Do Daily Help prospective Federal customers understand how Sonar’s solutions fit within their software development life cycle. Drive technical aspects of pre‑sales opportunities through presentations, demonstrations, and product evaluations. Advise customers on the best alignment of the Sonar solution with their favored deployment strategy. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems encountered by prospective customers evaluating our products. Go beyond the sale to ensure successful product adoption and growth, working with Customer Success and Support teams. Help existing customers understand the additional capabilities of advanced product editions. The Experience You Will Need Proven practical experience (5+ years) in software development or DevOps engineering. Proven experience supporting Federal software sales, preferably in the DevOps/OpenSource space. Knowledge of US Federal Government software delivery practices, including military branches, commands, the intelligence community, and civilian agencies. Excellent presentation skills. Technical understanding of software‑adjacent compliance standards such as FedRAMP, DoD STIG, NIST SP 800‑218. Ability to dive into complex technical problems, develop solutions, and articulate them verbally and in writing. Proven ability to work in a team, give and receive feedback, and share knowledge. A can‑do attitude: challenging the status quo and contributing to key improvements and innovations.
