Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef/Expo/Prep Cook plays a vital role in a small kitchen team, typically consisting of 1-5 members. This position focuses on supporting the head chef by preparing food, managing order expediting, and assisting with menu development while ensuring health and safety standards are strictly followed. The role requires a versatile individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment to maintain kitchen efficiency and quality.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and dishes according to menu specifications
  • Expedite orders efficiently to ensure prompt service
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in culinary arts
  • Proficient in various culinary techniques
  • Knowledgeable in food safety standards
  • Skilled in operating kitchen equipment
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Effective problem-solving skills in a kitchen environment
