Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable transactions. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, timely processing of invoices and payments, and supports overall financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Process invoices accurately and on time.
• Verify purchase orders, receipts, and payment terms.
• Prepare and issue payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.

Accounts Receivable:

• Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Apply payments to customer accounts and maintain accurate AR ledgers.
• Process credit memos and adjustments as needed.
• Reconcile AR accounts and assist with collection efforts.

General Accounting Duties:

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (bachelor's preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and receivable roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with ERP systems. Preferred
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP). Preferred
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. Preferred
