CNC Setup Machinist – Lathe & Milling | $25–$35/hr

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay Rate: $25.00–$35.00 per hour (DOE)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift | Flexible Start Between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM

Overtime: Available based on workload

Position Summary

Precision Staffing Services is recruiting skilled CNC Setup Machinists and CNC Operators for a well-established precision manufacturing facility in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced machinist who enjoys hands-on CNC setup, programming, and producing high-quality custom parts. The position involves CNC turning and milling operations in a clean, climate-controlled machine shop specializing in prototype work and small-to-medium production runs.

What You'll Do

Independently set up and run CNC lathes and/or vertical machining centers.
Make machine adjustments and modify CNC programs to meet production specifications.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining methods.
Produce precision components while maintaining tight tolerances.
Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Identify machining issues and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience .
Proven ability to set up and operate CNC turning or milling equipment.
Working knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand GD&T.
Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or Mazak machine controls preferred.
Familiarity with 3-axis or 4-axis CNC milling equipment is a plus.
Experience with Fusion 360 or GibbsCAM is beneficial.
Previous experience in a custom machine shop or low-volume production environment preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
