We are seeking a Palletizer Operator for a long-term Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a leading manufacturing facility in the Greater St. Louis area. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting warehouse and production operations.

Pay & Advancement

• Starting Rate: $22.00/hour
• After Qualification/Card Certification: $23.00/hour
• Permanent Employment Rate: Approximately $25.63/hour
• Eligible for permanent employment after approximately 600+ successful hours
• Additional advancement opportunities available for top performers

What You'll Do

• Operate palletizing and packaging equipment
• Monitor automated palletizers and stretch wrappers
• Clear equipment jams and perform equipment resets as needed
• Replace and thread stretch-wrap rolls
• Perform pre-operational equipment inspections
• Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
• Monitor finished products prior to shipment
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records
• Utilize computerized inventory and material tracking systems
• Support housekeeping and sanitation activities
• Assist with production changeovers and continuous improvement efforts
• Relieve team members for breaks and lunches as needed
• Train and assist new employees when required
• Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• May be required to obtain forklift certification

Additional Warehouse & Material Handling Duties

• Operate forklift equipment as needed
• Deliver raw materials to production areas
• Transport packaging materials throughout the facility
• Assist with waste handling and recycling efforts
• Operate baling equipment
• Perform general housekeeping and porter responsibilities

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Computer skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to complete documentation accurately
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to lift 20-25 pounds regularly
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance

Schedule

1st Shift

• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd Shift

• 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Additional $0.75/hour shift premium

3rd Shift

• 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Additional $1.00/hour shift premium

Overtime Expectations

• Eight-hour shifts with overtime as needed
• Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs
• Shift flexibility required
• Overtime may occur before or after scheduled shifts
• Saturday work may be required
• Production demands may require schedule adjustments with limited notice
