VP, Strategy & Business Development Department: RS-492 - COO - Commercial & Corporate Strategy Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: US - New York Description Joining DAZN as VP, Strategy & Business Development gives you the chance to help steer one of the most ambitious sports media companies in the world. You’ll work at the forefront of DAZN’s North America expansion, identifying new business opportunities, driving our go-to-market strategy, and shaping our roadmap for growth. This is a high-profile, high-impact role for a commercially minded strategist who thrives in ambiguity and wants to build the next era of live sports streaming. Your insights will guide executive decision‑making and unlock new sources of value across regions and platforms. As VP, Strategy & Business Development, you will be a key commercial leader across our U.S. sports portfolio, including DAZN’s expansion into the regional sports space in the U.S. You will drive negotiations with rightsholders, lead strategic planning and execution for new commercial initiatives, and support an ambitious growth strategy. You’ll analyze emerging trends, evaluate markets, and build models to assess commercial impact. Collaborating closely with finance, legal, product, and marketing teams, you’ll develop clear, actionable plans that drive DAZN’s competitive advantage. Salary Range: $190,000 - $220,000 This role will be based mostly on site in our New York office. What You'll Be Doing: Be a strategic and commercial leader with regards to U.S. regional sports business Take P&L ownership over a select number of rights Evaluate and make pricing and packaging recommendations Ongoing evaluation of business performance and identifying cross‑functional areas of improvement Work with product to define roadmap Assist in preparing and presentation of materials for rightsholders Oversee development of financial projections and reporting by finance team Assist in strategic & financial assessment of new rights opportunities, deal terms, and ultimate onboarding Prepare executive and board materials Evaluate M&A opportunities and help drive deal structuring Be a strategic and commercial leader with regards across Represent DAZN in external negotiations and strategic forum What You'll Bring: 6+ years in either Tier 1 Strategy Consulting firm, Investment Banking, or In-House Strategy/Corporate Development team Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel Demonstrable experience utilizing strategic analytical skills, including financial modelling and forecasting, market situation / trend analyses, scenario planning, go to market / roll out plans and operational feasibility assessments Ability to crystalize key insights from data and communicate analyses in an efficient and effective manner to a variety of internal audiences across departments and functions Strong communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional roles Experience working on multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment Must be comfortable working both independently and as a member of the team An understanding and interest in the sports and broader media industries Benefits Benefits include access to DAZN, up to 15 days of paid time off, health benefits (including dental & eye care), a sick time package, parental leave offering, voluntary benefits (such as basic life term, personal accident and short and long‑term disability covering) and a 401(k) retirement plan.
