Speech and Language Assistant- CPPI program

Position Overview Under the direction and supervision of a speech‑language pathologist, the speech‑language assistant is responsible for providing speech‑language services to students with Individual Education Programs in the schools. Key Responsibilities Assist a speech‑language pathologist (SLP) in providing speech‑language services to students with IEPs. Collaborate with the SLP supervisor on evidence‑based interventions to help students achieve their speech‑language goals and objectives. Coordinate with the SLP supervisor regarding students’ IEP information. Screen students to identify those with suspected speech‑language disabilities. Track progress and maintain data using qualitative and quantitative measures for students receiving services. Maintain a list of students on the speech‑language caseload, including those screened and eligible for speech‑language IEPs. Inventory and track speech‑language intervention materials in the schools. Log therapy services using Easy IEP. Provide progress reports in collaboration with the SLP. Work collaboratively with the Evaluation Team Leader and school team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in speech‑language pathology. State license as a speech‑language assistant through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
