In this role, you will assist with product development by preparing customer samples, matching colors, creating laboratory formulations, and performing quality testing. Join the FinishWorks Team! FinishWorks is looking for a motivated and detail-focused Lab Technician to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you will assist with product development by preparing customer samples, matching colors, creating laboratory formulations, and performing quality testing. Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory samples and production trial batches.
- Perform color matching with minimal supervision.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Enter and manage formulation data within company systems.
- Conduct product performance and quality testing.
- Assist with special projects and research activities as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in production tinting, color matching, or related laboratory work.
- Basic computer skills and data entry experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Experience in coatings, paints, chemicals, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, handle materials, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with moderate solvent odors while following all safety guidelines.
