WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR Temporary Staff Accountant (6-Month Assignment) Schedule: Full-time, onsite, 5 days per week The Temporary Staff Accountant will serve as a key partner to the Accounting team, supporting the day-to-day management of retail accounting, banking activities, and fixed asset accounting. This role will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of financial transactions while contributing to the overall efficiency of accounting operations. The position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is a six-month temporary assignment based in-office five days per week. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay of $28-$30 per hour Exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced luxury retail environment Opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting functions Collaborative team environment with direct partnership and mentorship from accounting leadership Key Responsibilities: Perform bank reconciliations and maintain cash accounts. Reconcile and record concession settlements and other cash-related transactions. Reconcile store credits, sales deposits, and related accounts. Investigate and resolve chargebacks, payment disputes, and fraud issues. Reconcile intercompany accounts receivable and payable balances. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Assist with fixed asset accounting and journal entries. Support monthly sales tax filings and compliance requirements. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of corporate accounting experience 1+ years of SAP experience required Proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Outlook) Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with intercompany, upper management, and external auditors/vendors High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on approach Good presentation skills for educating team members on accounting principles Excellent planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all job functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner HOW WE ARE The Valentino ecosystem is home to a wide and extraordinary pool of talents, each colleague contributing with their unique attributes, nurturing a culture of inclusivity and equality.
