Location: Raleigh-Durham (RDU), NC
Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour + Daily Cash Tips
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Weekends & Holidays Required

Lead from the Front with SkyHop Global

SkyHop Global is seeking a hands-on Leader on Duty (LOD) to support daily operations at our RDU station. This is a true player-coach position —you’ll lead the team while also driving routes and supporting the operation wherever needed.

We’re looking for someone with prior management, supervisory, or team leadership experience who knows how to motivate people, hold standards, solve problems, and lead by example.

Transportation or logistics experience is a plus, but it is not required. We can teach you the logistics side of the business—we’re looking for someone who already knows how to lead people.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong frontline leader who enjoys being active and involved rather than sitting behind a desk.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Daily Operations: Serve as an on-site leader and help ensure safe, reliable, and on-time service.
• Drive & Support the Team: Operate company passenger vans as needed to maintain coverage and keep the operation moving.
• Coach & Develop Drivers: Provide real-time direction, reinforce expectations, recognize strong performance, and address issues when needed.
• Promote Safety & Compliance: Reinforce company safety policies, conduct readiness checks, and lead by example.
• Support Staffing & Scheduling: Assist with daily coverage, call-outs, schedule adjustments, and operational needs.
• Reinforce Training: Help new and existing drivers understand company procedures, service expectations, and safety standards.
• Solve Problems: Make sound decisions and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain Accountability: Complete required documentation and communicate operational issues to station leadership.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior management, supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience required
• Transportation, logistics, hospitality, aviation, or similar operational experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication and people-management skills
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach and hold team members accountable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 3 years of licensed driving experience
• Comfortable driving large passenger vans
• Ability to pass required background check, MVR, and drug screening
• Full-time availability, including weekends and holidays
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts consistently
