You'll be an important part of our operations team—supporting production, maintaining our facilities, helping move materials, stocking supplies, assisting multiple departments, and making sure our employees have everything they need to be successful.Every day is different, and your work truly makes a difference.What You'll DoYou'll support our Plano and Wylie facilities by helping with a variety of daily tasks, including:Keep Our Facilities Looking GreatMaintain clean, safe, and organized production, warehouse, office, and common areasEmpty trash, recycling, and remove cardboard, pallets, and scrap materialsSweep, mop, and maintain production floors, loading docks, and walkwaysReport maintenance or safety concernsSupport ProductionRefill shop supplies, hardware bins, PPE, labels, tape, and production consumablesDeliver tools, hardware, and materials to employeesHelp maintain organized supply stationsSupport Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiativesWarehouse & Material HandlingAssist with receiving, stocking, staging, and moving materialsTransport materials between departmentsRelocate shelving, workstations, and production equipmentHelp organize inventory locations and assist with cycle countsFacility ImprovementAssemble shelving, workstations, carts, and other equipment using hand and power toolsCoordinate with outside contractors performing facility workHelp schedule facility services and repairsAssist with office moves, special projects, and department supportWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Dependable and shows up ready to workSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyOrganized with strong attention to detailComfortable helping wherever neededMechanically inclined and enjoys working with toolsA team player with a positive attitudeSafety-mindedPreferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED1–3 years of warehouse, facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, or janitorial experienceForklift certification (or willingness to become certified)Clean driving record and reliable transportationPhysical RequirementsThis is an active position that requires:Standing and walking throughout the dayFrequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pullingLifting up to 50 pounds regularlyWorking indoors and outdoors as neededOperating forklifts, pallet jacks, and floor scrubbers after trainingWhy Join Cates?At Cates, every employee plays an important role in our success.
