This role sits on the US Inflation desk in New York and is designed for candidates who want to become a true on‑desk systems and product expert, with the potential to grow into a more involved trader over time. What We Offer A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration A hybrid working model, allowing for in‑office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days Employee Resource Groups supporting an inclusive workplace for everyone and promoting community engagement Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family‑building benefits Educational resources, matching gift, and volunteer programs What You'll Do Learn the desk and become a systems expert across US inflation products (TIPS and related derivatives), market microstructure, workflows, and key technology/process touchpoints Own day‑to‑day P&L and risk processes with meticulous attention to detail—supporting position reconciliation, risk/rate checks, and control routines in partnership with Trading, Risk, and Operations Build proprietary analytics and trading tools by taking direction from the immediate trading team and partnering with Strats/Technology to translate requirements into robust, production‑ready solutions Analyze market structure to identify opportunities and threats; generate, communicate, and help execute trade ideas aligned to client needs and desk risk appetite Collaborate closely with sales, trading, coverage, and structuring teams to increase market transparency and drive new business Leverage and improve e‑trading workflows for bonds and derivatives, helping the desk operate efficiently and scale liquidity provision and risk recycling Skills You'll Need College degree required. Strong computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other quantitative background preferred Meticulous, process‑driven approach willing to own deliverables (P&L/risk routines, controls, and tooling) end‑to‑end Strong analytical skills to support pricing, scenario analysis, and workflow automation; proficiency in Python for rapid analytics and tool development (including dashboards/visualization frameworks such as Dash or Bokeh) Regulatory & capital awareness relevant to bonds and derivatives (e.g., market conduct, model use, capital/resource considerations) Communication & drive: Clear written and verbal communication, strong initiative, and the ability to thrive in a high‑pace, high‑pressure trading environment while partnering across Sales/Trading/Structuring/Operations/Technology Applied engineering mindset: Experience integrating analytics into desk workflows (including exposure to AI/ML integration in production or near‑production settings); comfort operating on electronic venues/streams for bonds and derivatives Expectations Employees hired into this role will work in‑office five days a week in the New York, NY office. Actual salaries may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications.
