Sample Processing Associate I - 3rd Shift

Abbott seeks a Sample Processing Associate I for third-shift laboratory operations in Madison. The role involves specimen accessioning, processing, automation support, and lab maintenance while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance in a clinical diagnostics environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen accessioning, processing, racking, and automation operations
- Execute lab maintenance and cleaning tasks to support departmental workflow
- Document problems and resolutions following Good Documentation Practices
- Handle and dispose of specimens according to safety and standard precaution protocols
- Support quality initiatives, process improvements, and departmental audits
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency with computers, internet, email, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and tolerate prolonged standing
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field
- Preferred: Laboratory experience with sample handling and protocol compliance
Compensation: $14.85 – $29.65/hour
