Collections Specialist

JOB SUMMARY The Collections Representative is responsible for managing daily collection activities, monitoring accounts receivable, and identifying collection issues and opportunities. This position will communicate directly with customers regarding past-due accounts, maintain accurate collection records, and work with internal departments to resolve outstanding balances. RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and prioritize accounts based on severity of delinquency Make outbound and receive inbound calls regarding past-due accounts Proactively contact customers regarding outstanding balances Send collection letters and accurately document collection activity Work with management, sales representatives, and department managers to address collection concerns Utilize available systems and resources to perform skip-tracing activities and locate customers Assist debtors with establishing payment plans, with proper authorization when required Process and review new customer credit applications Apply received payments accurately in QuickBooks Monitor accounts receivable activity and identify potential collection issues Maintain accurate and organized customer and collection records Meet monthly collection revenue quotas QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of previous collections experience required Customer-service focused with strong communication skills Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented Highly organized and detail-oriented Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel QuickBooks experience required Experience with accounts receivable and/or credit applications is preferred Comfortable making frequent collection calls and communicating about past-due balances Ability to maintain professionalism when handling sensitive customer account matters Must be able to pass a criminal background check POSITION DETAILS: Pay: $18-20/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Location: La Porte, TX 77571 Job Type: Full-Time #J-18808-Ljbffr
