About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years Emergency Nursing experience required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: AHA Certified BLS, ACLS & PALS; NRP & TNCC certifications strongly preferred Must-Have: - General Emergency Department nursing skills, including but not limited to assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education. Description: This is a position in a 65-bed Emergency Department with a pod-based structure. The unit features a separate pediatric pod and an area designated for acute mental health. The patient population includes individuals of all ages. The average census is approximately 230 visits per day. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC ASAP. Floating may be required, and rotating shifts will be needed for day rotation when requested. The night position does not rotate. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:4.
