The Accounts Payable Specialist Lead manages all accounts payable transactions, including processing invoices, resolving disputes, requesting vendor credits, reconciling credit card accounts, preparing vendor payments, and creating client invoices. Key responsibilities also include training and assisting Accounts Payable Specialists, developing training programs, preparing monthly reconciliations using advanced Excel/Google Sheets functions (Pivot tables/Vlookups), entering journal entries, assisting with accounting projects, and providing backup to AP Supervisors. The role requires communicating with internal and external contacts regarding AP matters.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnter and balance accounts payable transactionsAssist with various accounting team projectsSupport Finance and Accounting teams with recurring monthly spreadsheets using Excel, Google Sheets, Pivot tables and VlookupsAssist Financial administrators with help as neededProcess accounts payable transactionsPost all invoices into the accounting systemHandle and resolve disputed invoicesRequest credits from vendors and reconcile company credit card accountsPrepare and reconcile vendor payments and create client invoicesDevelop and perform training programs in areas of specific subject mattersTrain new hires and assist with day-to-day questions from Accounts Payable SpecialistsEnter Journal entries to reclass expenses as necessaryProvide back-up to AP Supervisors as neededCommunicate with internal and external contacts regarding all matters of Accounts PayableWhy EquipmentShare?Because we do things differently — and we think you’ll feel it from day one.
