Accountant

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented accountant to support our National Accounts and ESS departments. The role involves general accounting and inventory financial processes for the National Accounts subsidiary and ESS, partnering with cross‑functional teams to execute financial closings, analyze data, and identify opportunities for process improvement. What You'll Be Doing Own and drive month‑end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger accuracy. Lead the inventory financial process: standard costing, reconciliation, and reporting. Prepare and analyze revenue and expense reports to ensure financial accuracy. Collaborate with sales, operations, and treasury teams to ensure financial alignment. Support internal and external audits, forecasting, and ad‑hoc projects. What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 3+ years of multi‑faced accounting and business related experience. Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cross‑functional environments. What Sets You Apart Excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency. Prior experience using SAP or comparable ERP systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. Flexible and dependable in a fast‑paced, evolving business landscape. Problem‑solving mindset, with experience resolving issues related to inventory, invoicing, and general accounting. Work Location and Schedule Hybrid schedule: collaborate in person Monday through Wednesday at our Greene, NY office and work remotely Thursday/Friday after training is complete. Typical first shift hours: 8 AM to 5 PM. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $65,440 – $83,895 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
