Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license for Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred

• Clear communication skills to interact with staff, students, and families
• Skilled in motivational and age-appropriate therapeutic approaches

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite occupational therapy services to students as specified by IEPs
• Develop, implement, and document treatment plans targeting students’ functional goals
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to incorporate therapy goals into daily classroom activities
• Conduct assessments and reevaluations to determine students’ needs and progress
• Educate families and staff on strategies to support student development within the school environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations related to OT
• Maintain accurate and timely records as required by school and regulatory guidelines
