Accountant

AP Specialist

An Accountant is sought to join an Accounting Operations team. This role is focused on Accounts Payable and supports the day-to-day execution of invoice processing, supplier onboarding, reconciliations, and supplier support. This is a transactional position for an individual who has attention to detail and takes ownership of completing tasks accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will combine strong AP fundamentals with customer service skills and the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and route invoices for payment while ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment holds, and pending action items.
• Review transactions for accuracy and identify items requiring additional validation.
• Support high-volume invoice processing activities with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Onboard new suppliers and maintain complete supplier documentation.
• Validate supplier information through internal verification procedures.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure suppliers are set up correctly and efficiently.
• Reconcile supplier statements against accounts payable records.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers and internal business partners.
• Respond to supplier inquiries professionally via email, phone, and virtual meetings.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2-4 years of accounting or accounting operations experience is required, with a strong emphasis on Accounts Payable. Candidates must have hands-on experience with invoice processing, supplier onboarding, vendor maintenance, and performing reconciliations.

Skills: Experience working within structured financial processes and controls is necessary. Strong customer service, stakeholder management, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required. The role demands the ability to prioritize work effectively and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Workday Financials.
• Experience using Coupa.
• Experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
• Experience supporting expense management and corporate card programs.
• Experience working within shared services or multi-entity environments.
• Experience using shared inbox management platforms.
