Description

• Assess patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standard assessment tools along with observational methods.
• Create individualized therapy plans tailored to meet both immediate and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, doctors, caregivers, and family members to form integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, ensuring support and progress carry on beyond clinical settings.
• Provide occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring a smooth and continuous patient experience.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans promptly, adhering to both state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional interaction.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
