Position Overview Cole Engineering Services (CESI) is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment and make meaningful contributions to mission‑critical applications. Responsibilities Collaborate with experienced engineers in an Agile development environment. Work closely with senior developers and cross‑functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain high‑quality software solutions. Build a portfolio of real‑world contributions to automation, security, and system reliability. Required Experience/Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Familiarity with the Java Programming Language. Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented programming. Experience with version control systems, such as Git. Strong Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills: The ability to tackle complex challenges and create innovative solutions. Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Team‑Oriented Mindset: A desire to work collaboratively and provide constructive feedback during code reviews and planning. Eagerness to Learn: A passion for software development and a willingness to continuously learn and grow. Attention to Detail: The ability to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are well‑structured. Special Requirements/Security Clearance Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
